Mail Attachment-2Here we are at the Southern California District Council Missions Banquet! We met with pastors who contribute to African Moons, met old friends and made new ones.

We were inspired and challenged by missionary, John Easter. He told of the 847 Unreached People Groups in Sub-Sahara Africa, totaling 240 million people. He then said that Spirit-filled Leaders are Africa’s hope! Impacting through Training is the key.

Sally and I looked at each other, “This is what Dad Bruton believed and why the Arusha Bible College was founded.”The theme of Paul and Helen Bruton’s years in Africa was “Reaching Africans to Reach Africans”.

It is why we started African Moons, to help raise up men and women to take the Gospel to their own tribes and villages. The Bible Colleges are the way to train them to impact Africa! The projects we share with you are not the buildings or the development of the campus. The projects are the Leaders who will be reaching their people with the Good News!

This is how it is done. Recently we sent funds to provide scholarships for four students. Your giving made this possible. Pictured here are two of those students. They will study God’s Word and be taught Biblical Truths as well as practical principles for ministry. They will learn English and computer skills. They will have assigned jobs on the campus. All this to prepare them to be leaders who will make a difference!

We then drove to Fresno and had a wonderful time with my mom and family before heading to Eugene, Oregon to be in service with Pastor Steve Singleton at Restoration Fellowship on Sunday, June 11th. We will return home June 14th.

One week later, I am headed to Arusha for two weeks to see the Computer Lab at Northern Bible College come together. Dell desktop computers will be installed as well as a Wireless Network, connecting each computer to the internet. This will mean that from these new computers, students will be able to access Bible Commentaries, teachings from Biblical Scholars, messages from some of the best preachers and more! Resources that we take for granted, they will have before them for the first time!

Our goal: $3500 – 5 Desktop computers with all the required accessories. Funds have come in for 3!Mail Attachment-3

JUST $1400 AND WE WILL HAVE THE FUNDS FOR 5 DESKTOPS – complete with software, power backup and accessories

$400 – Printer for the Lab – RECEIVED!

$1000 – Internet to the Lab – we still need your help for this.

If God directs you to give $700.00 for one complete Dell Desktop Computer, remember you are helping to prepare these students to carry the Good News to those who have not yet heard. Give what you can and it will be used with gifts from others to help us reach this goal.

Designate your donation that is above your monthly support to “Computer Lab”.

In August, Sally and I will be returning to California for the Assemblies of God General Council. Housing has been provided and air miles will get us there. By then William Geter Jr., African Moons’ Project Manager, will have a presentation prepared for the next Dormitory Project at Northern Bible College. Over 20,000 people will attend the 57th General Council!

“A single God-ordained moment can change a generation. As we gather in the locality of Azusa, let’s believe God for that moment – in our day, in our time!” Mail Attachment
