JUNE NEWSPosted on June 17th, 2015.
After the dorm construction began, God faithfully reinforced His promise to us as we prayed for His continued blessings.
“Be strong and courageous and act; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until ALL the work for the service of the House of the Lord is finished.” I Chronicles 28:20 (KJ)
God increased our faith and together we trusted and believed His Word during the entire construction process. There were anxious times but we held steady and God’s peace was with us.
This week, He spoke again: “God also says; When the time’s ripe, I answer you. When victory’s due, I help you. I form you and use you to reconnect the people with me….” Isaiah 49:8 (The Message)
Let’s get all excited! The furnishings are in a container on a ship heading to the port city of Tanzania, Dar es Salaam, Arabic meaning ‘The residence of peace.’ The projected arrival date is July 5th!
We plan to be in Arusha for two – three weeks. Traveling during summer months means higher costs. KLM Airlines summer fares cost about $500 more per ticket than other times of the year. While there we rent a small apartment that cuts hotel costs and also allows us to prepare some meals. If you are able to help with this part of the project, designate your donation for “Travel”.
During the summer months giving has a tendency to drop. Your monthly support of African Moons empowers us to obey God’s directions. Thank you for standing faithfully with us in giving and prayer.
“Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.” I Peter 4: 12 -13 Message
We have grown deeper roots in our understanding of the unfathomable ways of God these past few years. The miracle of a finished dorm and now able to furnish it is great but our knowledge and growth in Him is of even greater value. We are humbled to stand in this place for such a time as this.
We love and appreciate each one of you!
Tanzania for Jesus!
