April NewsletterPosted on April 1st, 2016.
During our recent trip to Fresno, I went to meet with Pastor Brad Grams to thank him and West McKinley Church for their financial gift last year to help us finish the dormitory. As we shared, he asked what’s next? I said, Would you believe a second dorm? Immediately, he said, “We want to be the first church to commit to help. We are pledging $10,000.00 to get this project going.” Praise God! Isn’t it amazing how God confirms His Word to say to us that there is another dorm to be built! When we have $100,000 in hand we will begin construction.
What an incredible time we had with Mike and Katie Bruton at their retirement from pastoring! There was such an outpouring of love and appreciation from the people of Northeast Assembly. Mike was their pastor for the last 24 years. It was so good to be with them.
Mike & Katie, you have shown us all how to finish well. “So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.” Psalms 79:72
Here is my precious mom, Adeline Vann, and her treasured ’67 Mustang. She waited until later in her life to learn to drive and the only car she wanted was a Ford Mustang. She bought this one in 1977. Since she no longer drives, she has donated her first and only car to African Moons. It is being prepped and will be sold to help us with our projects in Tanzania.
My mom has continually prayed for her six children and is the Rock of the Vann Family. She is so thrilled that her precious Mustang is going to be used to bless the people of Tanzania.
In light of the recent terrorist attacks in Europe and the State Department Travel Advisory not to travel through Europe at this time, we are delaying our April trip. We are NOT fearful and will make our travel plans when things settle down and we know it is God’s timing.
From 2 Timothy 4: 1 – 2, The Message, Paul gave this admonition…
I can’t express this on you too strongly. God is looking over your shoulder. Christ himself is the Judge, with the final say on everyone, living and dead. He is about to break into the open with his rule, so proclaim the Message with intensity; keep on your watch. Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don’t ever quit. Just keep it simple.
We depend on your faithful giving to help African Moons monthly. Our commitment and passion is steadfast to complete the assignment God has given to us to help take the Gospel to the people of Tanzania. Many have planted, some have watered and some get to partake in the harvest. We are blessed to be a part of the family of God who has been a part of experiencing Tanzania won for Christ.
Tanzania for Jesus!
