This “selfie” is a picture with the General Superintendent of the Tanzania Assemblies of God, Barnabas Mtokamboli. We share his vision to have a TAG pastor in every village of Tanzania. His challenge to us and you is to BUILD ANOTHER DORM TO ACCOMMODATE EVEN MORE STUDENTS! We will be sharing more with you soon about the THREE STORY DORM!
In two weeks Sally & I are headed to the West Coast. There we will attend the Network Conference of Southern California Assemblies of God. We plan to meet with pastors, who have helped us in the past and share with them plans to build another dorm. Believe with us for God to open new doors of opportunity for African Moons as well.
Sunday, June 11th we will be at Restoration Fellowship in Springfield, Oregon. Pastor, Steve Singleton is the son of one of Paul Bruton’s dearest friends. Ted Singleton and his church in Paramount California invested thousands of dollars into the work in Arusha when Sally’s parents built the work from 1958-1962. Dad and Uncle Ted are in Heaven and we hope they are looking down on us as we are going to have a great time together chronicling all that God has done in our lives.
One of the critical projects we have on our list is to upgrade the college Computer Lab. Today the Lab consists of 4 dilapidated computers – no internet connection, no printer, everything out of date. I have secured bids for 5 new desktop computers, Software, 1 printer, and the needed distribution equipment for internet access.
The lab can accommodate 12 computers but this will be a good start. Once this phase is completed, the students will have the basic tools to learn computer skills and then be able to access Electronic Libraries from some of our best Christian colleges for research to further train for their ministries.
On June 21 I fly to Arusha to purchase the equipment for the Lab. I will organize and oversee the installation and testing of the equipment and work with our internet provider, Habari Node, to run the cable from the Internet Tower already on the campus.
COMPUTER LAB BUDGET – $4,900
$3500 – (5) Desktop computers, software, power backup and accessories or $700 (1)
complete desktop, computer, software, power backup and accessories
$400 – Printer for the Lab; cabling and printing supplies
$1000 – Internet to the Lab; cabling, trunking, switches, installation
Will you consider making an investment to this project to help the students better prepare themselves for preaching the Good News?
Designate your donation that is above your monthly support to “Computer Lab.”
The children at Shalom Center Orphanage are also eagerly awaiting my return. Some of you are already giving monthly to the Shalom Center. If you would like to help with this project simply designate your gift to “Shalom Center”.
Together we can say …
Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.
Your giving today is an investment that no man can destroy. “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Tanzania for Jesus!
