On the last day of our trip we left early morning to visit 2 new churches out of Arusha. As we worshipped together, I remembered a promise God gave to my mother 57 years ago one Sunday morning when our family began this work in Arusha.
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last–and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” John 15:16
Upon our arrival at Kilimanjaro Int’l, October 28th, our team hit the road running. How grateful we are that Gayle Henegar and Anthony Henegar were able to go on this trip. We all made quite a team!
Since we began Christmas in a Box four years ago, Gayle Henegar has coordinated the execution of the “Christmas in a Box” project USA phase. However, this time she was able to go to Arusha with us and coordinate the final phase of packing and delivering personalized boxes with specific items for specific children at the orphanage. What a joy to see Gayle in her element.
In addition, we purchased a three month’s supply of food. You also made it possible to buy school regulation school shoes for many of the kids. If only you could have seen the faces of these grateful children.
The special needs kid in the Government Schools welcomed us with open arms. These kids are desperately in need of educational items to capture their attention for their learning level. We delivered items and visited with five Primary School classes and one Secondary School.
When our Father makes a promise, it will happen! The promise given to Mom Bruton is visible today. The fruit of the seed planted in the hearts of new believers over 60 years ago is now bearing fruit all over Tanzania.
This year, forty students graduated with their three-year Bible Diplomas and 17 graduated with their one-year English Certificate. One-hundred-forty students were enrolled in 2019. Almost half of the students still live in deplorable conditions. With thecompletion of the new dorm It will also make it possible to enroll about 100 additional students that are waiting to attend the college.
Finances continue to slowly come in for the new dormitory. As we are nearing year’s end would you prayerfully consider making a Tax-Deductible gift to the New Dormitory Project? We need approximately $200,000 more to complete this project which will include furnishings.
In a few days, we all will sit at a table and give thanks for the many blessings God has poured over our lives. We will give thanks as a family for the gift of being allowed to work together you and our our beloved Tanzanian brothers and sisters. You will reap multitude rewards for the investments you have made into this ministry. Thank you! TANZANIA FOR JESUS!
