URGENT NEW! COVID-19 HITS TANZANIA!

Our attorney, Emmanuel Tarimo, reports that the threat of the virus is devastating the Tanzania economy. Tourism is shut down. Many employees have been terminated, schools are closed.DSC_4971O-gH9iy55v2zmn6Ansb1ej7PcRtMKMtWpQ

Principal George James of the Arusha Bible College reports that the college is closed for 30 days. “I can assume God knew this Corona Virus would happen and we trust God to see us through,” wrote George James.

Golden Mgonzo, Director of Shalom Centre Orphanage, writes, “Tanzanian churches are also in prayer for God’s intervention against this plague of corona virus. All colleges and schools have been closed for an unknown period. There is cancellation of international flights and land transportation, a ban of meetings, crusades, etc. Church services have not been banned.”

All the children attending boarding schools have had to return to Shalom. This has resulted in food supplies being used more rapidly. Director Golden Mgonzo reports that their supplies will be depleted in two weeks.

African Moons is planning to send funds to the College and Shalom Centre to help them survive during this troubling fight against COVID-19.

We need 100 people to give $50.00 to meet this urgent need. Your gift will make it possible for staff to continue serving the children and students of these vital ministries. There is no Government assistance in Tanzania. You can give through our website – www.africanmoons.org or by texting GIVE to 817-381-7200 and following the prompts. If you can’t give $50, give what you can. If you can do more than $50, thank you. Please respond as soon as you can.

We are all praying for each other during this troubling time. We know that Psalm 91 is our promise for everyday and especially now. “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”

Tanzania for Jesus!
