BAGAMOYO

Posted on July 18th, 2011.

Bagamoyo, on the coast of Tanzania, is one of the solemn reminders of slavery. It was at this port that men, women, boys and girls were loaded on boats and taken from the land of Africa into the grips of slavery. It is a place where hearts were broken and love was lost. Bagamoyo means, “lay down your heart.”

Today, the Gospel is being carried to the lost and broken. They may not be slaves, but there are millions who are in a spiritual harness of slavery. But God has an army of believers. Sally and I have seen them. They are preparing themselves for battle against spiritual slavery. They are students of the Arusha Bible College.

You are a partner in helping prepare them for the mission of these last days.

You are helping make this campus a strong tower of God’s power and presence.

Our pastor, J. Don George, introduced African Moons to several pastors in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As a result, Sally and I met with Pastor Eddy Brewer of Abundant Life Church, Grapevine; Pastor Kendall Bridges of Freedom Life Church, Carrollton and Pastor Darius Johnston of Christ Church, Fort Worth.

We have shared with them the burden and call that God has placed in our hearts for Tanzania. Believe with us that they will be a part of the dormitory project.

Also, please keep in prayer these upcoming services:

– Pastor Robbie Bradford, First Assembly of God, Lafayette, Indiana, August 21

– Pastor Lynn Hancock, Briarwood Church, Pampa, TX, September 11.

– Pastor Andy Harris, Central Assembly of God, Bossier City, Louisiana, January 18

Just this week, TBN in Indianapolis confirmed us as guests for a program taping. This will be taped on August 22 and played at a later date. This will be great exposure to the TBN family of that region.

The dormitory project is slated to get started this Fall with construction continuing into next year. Sally and I plan to be in Tanzania for each phase of construction. We can’t wait to get the dormitory built, dedicated and occupied. Thank you for your faithful support. Without you this would not be happening. Your investment will be rewarded.

Tanzania for Jesus!
