October Newsletter

Posted on November 1st, 2020.

Here we are nearing the end of October. This year has flown by. But there is so much happening!

First reflection:

The 9th Annual African Moons Golf Tournament was a tremendous success! Though Covid affected the “numbers”, the end result is funds were raised for the children of Arusha, Tanzania!

The golf tournament is the kick off for our annual trip to Tanzania for “Christmas in a Box” with the children of Shalom Centre Orphanage. Plus, I will be presenting wonderful educational supplies to the Special Needs children of three Government Primary Schools.

In twelve short days I will be leaving for Arusha. I will arrive just in time to attend the 63rd graduation ceremonies of Northern Bible College.

This year I will be traveling alone. But I would not be going if it were not for you. Sally and our wonderful partners are purchasing the gifts for “Christmas in a Box” and then assembling the boxes for each child. We have the names and sizes for 93 children. Because of your generosity each one will receive a personalized Christmas Box.

There is still time to contribute to the “Christmas in a Box” project. In addition to the boxes, we purchase 3 months of food supplies, regulation school shoes and then the exciting day when we go to the butcher shop and buy meat. This is a “rare” treat.

Here’s how you can help – $35.00 will provide hygiene items, school supplies, clothes, toys and candy for one child.

Giving made easy:

  1. www.africanmoons.org choose “DONATE” and follow the prompts
  2. Text “GIVE” TO 817-381-7200 and follow the prompts
  3. Mail a Check to African Moons, P.O. Box 302, Bedford, TX 76095

I know that this will be another exciting time with our friends and ministry partners in Arusha. I sincerely request your prayers as I travel during these uncertain days.

Isaiah 26 in The Message, says

…People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole, steady on their feet, because they keep at and don’t quit. Depend on God and keep at it because in the Lord God you have a sure thing.

God bless you as you journey with us!

Tanzania for Jesus!
