GREAT NEWS! All the contracts are in order and the foundation phase of the new dorm is ready to roll. Miraculously, the supplier for the hardware and materials has agreed to honor the prices without any increases despite the expiration date of the quoted pricing. This is a huge answer to prayer. The budget for this first phase of construction is $56,621.19.
This week we have been encouraged as we recounted how faithful God has been to us since we began African Moons twelve years ago. Let these truths sink deeply into your soul. They are promises that reinforce the “Rock Solid” foundation that each of us has built our lives upon.
Remember your history, your long and rich history. I am God, the only God you’ve had or ever will have – incomparable, irreplaceable –
From the very beginning telling you what the ending will be,
All along letting you in on what is going to happen,
Assuring you, ‘I’m in this for the long haul, I’ll do exactly what I set out to do,’
…I’ve said it, and I’ll most certainly do it. I’ve planned it so it’s as good as done.
Isaiah 46: 9-11 MSG
I’ve done it and I will keep on doing it, carrying you!
I’m in this for the long haul, I’ll do exactly what I set out to do! From a far country the man I chose to help me…. I’ve planned it so it’s as good as done!
Shalom Prayer request:
Emmanuel Richard is 16 years old. His mom is deceased. His father is blind and survives by begging on the streets. Emmanuel was born with AIDS.
Shalom Centre rescued him from the streets. He is receiving treatments from the local doctors. However, he has been experiencing more difficulties such as loss of balance and dizziness. He has been falling 3 – 4 times a week. These could be side effects from the antiretroviral HIV drugs. But as a young boy, all he knows is he has AIDS and needs our prayers.
Emmanuel needs a miracle. He is a bright cheerful boy. He loves to read and dreams of becoming a pilot. He is now attending Elinot Secondary School.
We received a message from Emmanuel requesting our prayers and his closing words; “Thank you for loving me.”
I know your heart is moved by his request. Thank you for uniting with our prayers for Emmanuel. We are one Family. The Family of God. We stand together for each others’ needs.
God bless each of you!
