October NewsPosted on October 13th, 2011.
In a few days, October 17th, Sally and I will board KLM airlines in Dallas for our flight to Arusha. The details of getting our visas, immunizations and checking all my equipment is taking us to the finish line. When you read this, we will be on our way to Tanzania!
We have one hundred pounds of school supplies and toys stuffed into two huge suitcases ready to go. Through your help we will bless the children in public and private primary schools! I can’t wait to capture their faces as we share with them. This will also be Sally’s first time to visit these children. You know she is ecstatic!
Jonas Mkoba, Director of Education for the TAG, just sent this email in response to our travel schedule:
“Thanks Joel. That is good news. We are eagerly waiting for your arrival. The demolishing work has already started. You will find everything ok on the site ready for construction. We pray for a safe travel in Jesus’ name.”
It is imperative that we make excellent progress during the five weeks we will be there. Sometimes things move slower in Africa, so pray that we can keep to the schedule laid out and have the foundation done by Thanksgiving.
If you are on FaceBook, you can follow our progress on African Moons Group or Fan Page. You can also follow African Moons on Twitter. Our progress reports will depend on having internet access.
There are people who need to hear the Gospel. There are students who have answered the call to preach. Now they must be sent. This dormitory will return on your investment for generations and you are helping to make it happen.
Remember, it takes all of us doing what God leads us to do. Your financial gifts are greatly needed. The only way we can follow God’s plan is to have friends like you standing with us financially and in prayer. Sally and I partner with you and together we join the people of Tanzania to fulfill the Great Commission. Jesus said;
“God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day, right up to the end of the age.” The Message
Our daughter Michelle will process all mail, so let us hear from you. We are praying for you and ask that you also pray daily for God’s divine guidance for us.
Tanzania for Jesus!
