January NewsPosted on January 12th, 2012.
Happy New Year! Sally and I are praying that 2012 is filled with His blessings for you. “Everything belongs to you…the whole world and life and death; the present and the future; Everything belongs to you, and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.” I Corinthians 3 : 21-23 NLT. What words to hold on to; what hope we have!
As we enter this new year, two encouraging thoughts have been spoken to us, “Look Ahead” and “Dream Big.” Let’s pray with anticipation of what God has ahead for all of us. We know there are no limits with God and nothing is impossible to them that believe.
Two projects we started in 2011 are moving forward. The dormitory construction is underway. We are now building above the ground and expect to have 50% of the construction completed by the end of January. The students are so excited to see this progress.
The next phase of construction requires $16,000.00, we have $6000.00 in hand. William Geter, our project manager, and I need to return to Arusha at the end of January to sign off on the work completed and fund the next phase. We need your prayers and continued support as we seek to raise the $10,000.00.
The internet tower has brought the internet to the Arusha Bible College! Now we need $3000.00 to have it distributed to the library, computer lab and administrative offices. The students and Principal Joel Hamuli are filled with excitement as these two projects move forward.
January 18th through the 22nd, we will be with Pastor Andy Harris for their Missions Convention. Please pray as we share with the people of Central Assembly of God in Boosier City, Louisiana. We will also participate in their home groups and men’s breakfast. We are believing God for a great week!
Fifty students graduated November 11! They will be taking the Gospel throughout Tanzania. We are excited to see God use these young men and women to reach the lost. There are many opportunities to assist these graduates as they develop and to scholarship students wanting to attend Arusha Bible College.
In fact, during our five weeks in Arusha, God led us to provide a scholarship for a young man to attend Arusha Bible College and a young lady to attend her first year at “Sinon Teacher’s College.”
This is because people like you are giving to African Moons.
That is why we say to you, your participation in African Moons is critical to our success. We know that your prayers and support are because God has brought us together. Thank you for standing with us.
Tanzania for Jesus!
