“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.” John 15:16 TLT

We want to share with you another thrilling example demonstrating the lasting fruit of your investment in the people of Tanzania.

Lawrence Kamete Laizer from the Masai tribe, grew up in a small village outside of Arusha. His mom raised him and two other brothers.

As a young man he wanted to make money and help care for his mom. But in his heart he knew that God wanted to do more in his life.

In 2007 he fasted for five days to find direction for his life. The Holy Spirit put Isaiah 43:1-7 before him. “Don’t be afraid…I’ve redeemed you…You’re mine…don’t be afraid…I’m with you. Lawrence shared what God revealed to him, “You will not suffer; I will provide for you, for My work I will be with you.”

Lawrence prepared to attend Arusha Bible College in 2008, the year African Moons began the ministry in Tanzania. After meeting Lawrence, we felt that he was worthy of a full scholarship to finish his degree. He graduated from the Arusha Bible College in November 2011.

You, our partners, have continued to scholarship Lawrence, as he went to Dodoma College. He received his BA in Ministerial Studies, a four-year degree. It was thrilling when he was assigned to pastor a church outside of Arusha on the slopes of Mt. Meru. He pastored his church for four years and effectively reached his area and surrounding villages with the Gospel.

Last year, Lawrence requested consideration to pursue his Master’s in Theology. We agreed to provide a scholarship at Global University in Dodoma. Global University is a fully accredited university in the Pentecostal tradition. Global University integrates education and service through a network of 150 countries.

PHASE II DORM update:

It is incredible to see the construction progress on the new dorm. This is what God is doing through each of you as you join your faith, prayers and financial support with us for Kingdom purposes.

The seeds you have planted in the outreach of African Moons are producing a harvest beyond our expectations.

Thank you for your prayers and financial gifts. It’s so exciting to see what God is doing through our partnership with you. Let’s continue celebrating the work God is doing in Tanzania!

Tanzania for Jesus!
