Because of you, Thanksgiving led to “Christmas in a Box”. “Christmas in a Box” included clothes, toys, school supplies and personal hygiene items for each child at Shalom Center Orphanage. My heart was overwhelmed. This was our first year for “Christmas in a Box” and you all helped make it an incredible success.
Some of these children had never opened a Christmas gift.
In addition, the proceeds from African Moons Golf Tournament along with your donations made it possible to purchase for the Shalom children the following: mattresses, pillows, blankets, school shoes, backpacks, textbooks, 2 months supply of rice, beans and cooking oil.
Another purchase was a 4 burner propane stove and the largest propane tank available! No more gathering wood for the stove!
The staff and the Special Needs children of Uhuru Primary Government School were thrilled to receive puzzles, games, balls, crayons and books. These donations give the staff much needed tools. There are just 6 teachers for 80 students. It is definitely a calling and these teachers are doing a great job with very little Government assistance.
Your love and compassion were demonstrated to these children. This incredible time of sharing and giving would not have happened without you. THANK YOU!
As we enter 2018, it will mark African Moons tenth anniversary. Can’t believe it. God has been faithful and so have you. Please continue standing with us. Make a year-end gift If possible. It will help us begin 2018 strong with a new dormitory project ahead for the Arusha Bible College.
Merry Christmas to you and God’s favor be yours in 2018!
