“Joy is the serious business of Heaven” C.S. Lewis
The last two weeks in Arusha were exhilarating and full of joy. By the time I boarded my flight at Kilimanjaro Int’l Airport, I was beat and facing a 29 hour journey back to the U.S. Upon my arrival in Detroit, I checked my phone and read this message from Director Golden, Shalom Centre Orphanage.
“Dear Joel and Sally: I hope Joel has arrived in the U.S, safely. Words are not enough to express my gratitude for your love, care, support and thinking for Shalom Centre…your tireless efforts for fundraising to support children at Shalom Centre and staff. This time again we have received huge support of school supplies for whole year, shoes for children and food supplies. Christmas Boxes for all children, money for beds and money to support staff.
We love you all!
With much blessings,
It is the generosity of you and our wonderful African Moons partners who have made this effort such a blessing. THANK YOU!
It was thrilling to attend the 2021 Graduation Ceremony of the Northern Bible College. The joy of the students and their gratefulness for the opportunity to prepare for the ministry of God’s Word, always inspires me. A few feet from the auditorium, where the graduation was held, I was able to watch the concrete poured for the first floor of the new three-story dorm. It will not be long until the new dormitory will be completed and 240 students will live in decent living quarters. All of this is more than we can hardly comprehend, but it is happening!
As we are nearing the end of 2021 “We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers.” I Thessalonians 1:2
Tanzania for Jesus!
