YOUR IMPACT IN ACTION: 2025 HIGHLIGHTS & 2026 VISION
I Corinthians 15: 57-58 “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
2025 HIGHLIGHTS: LOOK WHAT GOD HAS DONE !
Through your unwavering support, African Moons achieved incredible milestones last year. The November 2024 “Christmas in a Backpack” project was successfully completed in March 2025 in spite of customs challenges. Hygiene items were sourced locally in Arusha, meeting government regulations and involving the local community.

Wheelchairs for Special Needs Children; Fourteen children received customized wheelchairs through our vital partnership with “Safe Home for Children with Disabilities”. In addition, there was a specific need for training equipment, and your generous response was remarkable. We were able to have that equipment made in Arusha and delivered!

Furthermore, the 13th Annual African Moons Golf Tournament successfully raised $15,000, kicking off essential fundraising for the 2025 “Christmas in a Backpack” project. Our family of volunteers did a fantastic job. All the hard work resulted in additional funds available to purchase school shoes for each child and Christmas gifts for Shalom staff. “Christmas in a Backpack” was extra special, Sally was able to travel to Arusha. She was loved and she loved on every child and every moment.

PROJECTS FOR 2026: The Difference You’ll Make
SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN
Your continued partnership is set to reach even greater goals in 2026. We plan to provide educational supplies, books, and games for five Tanzanian government schools’ special needs departments. This annual trip also focuses on children in the community through our partnership with Yuster Njau and her non-profit – “Safe Home for Children with Disabilities. The total budget of $10,000.00 for this trip will provide needed wheelchairs and supportive equipment all made in Arusha.
We are also pledging $500 a month for the “Safe Home” monthly rent and have a faith-filled goal to raise another $10,000.00 for a much-needed used transport van.

SHALOM CENTRE ORPHANAGE
At the Shalom Centre Orphanage, your donations fund an annual food budget of $12,000.00, providing staples like rice, beans, flour, meat and cooking oil.
The 2026 “Christmas in a Backpack” project has a $25,000 budget to cover school supplies, hygiene items, clothes, and treats for every child.
We are also proud to announce that the $20,000.00 pledged for thirty-six student scholarships has been fully funded, securing futures for primary, secondary, and university students.
NORTHERN BIBLE COLLEGE
Finally, for the Northern Bible College (Arusha Bible College), the $16,650.00 goal to scholarship thirty students (diploma and BA degrees) has been reached! The college now offers a BA degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Education. Thank you, partners!

As we reflect over last year, we stand on the verse God gave us in 2011 as we were about to break ground on the first dorm – 1 Chronicles 28:20, “Be strong and courageous, and act; do not fear nor be dismayed for the LORD GOD is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.”
With confidence and faith we move forward in 2026 knowing that God’s plans cannot be stopped! When He speaks, His Words will become reality.
Thank you for partnering with African Moons! Through your prayers and giving we expect even greater works to be done in 2026!
