What began as taking school supplies and game equipment to one local Arusha government primary school has taken a more focused approach. The special needs departments of seven local government schools have now been the recipients of games, teaching tools, and school supplies. 

Yuster Njau, our partner for the Tanzania government schools has established “Safe Home for Children with Disabilities. This is a registered non-profit. The programs the home offers is physical therapy and education for children with autism, cerebral palsy and other special needs.

African Moons has purchased wheelchairs made in Arusha by Kyaro Assistive Tech. This includes walkers, exercise stands and supportive floor mats and cushions.

African Moons has committed $500 a month to SHCD for building rent and salary assistance.
