At the time of this picture I knew we were going to be working in the dark. I am in Arusha, Tanzania overseeing the construction of Phase II Dorm for the Northern Bible College. You remember that it was started by Sally’s mom and dad, Paul and Helen Bruton. It is an honor that God has given us to build on the foundation they laid here. The task is not easy, but God is on our side.
The team that God has brought together for this assignment has been incredible. They have worked faithfully, always with the knowledge that this is God’s work. In order to pour the slab for the next floor of this three story dorm, the crew worked 15 hours straight. Once our cement mixer started, it ran all day until the slab was poured – 44′ by 150′! As darkness started to settle in, the college was trying to find lights so the work would be completed. It is no small miracle that they came up with two lights.
At 9:00PM the slab was finished! After curing for a week, the crew will start putting up the walls for the second floor. The in about 6 – 8 weeks another slab will be poured for the third floor.
Your prayers and support are needed constantly. This is not a work that a man can choose to do, it is an assignment from God. Only He knows why He chose us. The budget for construction is $500,000, then it needs to be furnished. This is an assignment too big for us but not too big for our God! Please help us finish the task.
Thank you for catching the vision of Paul and Helen Bruton. Now it is all of us partnering together to see it fulfilled.
