It’s that time of year! “Christmas in a Backpack” is before us. Our partners are always excited for this giving project for children of Shalom Centre Orphanage. Our friend and partner Gayle is buying outfits for the children during the “Back to School” sales in our area. This year the
need is 171 backpacks; the cost per child is $40.00.
The Annual African Moons Golf Tournament is September 30th at Texas Star Golf Course. The tournament benefits Shalom Centre Orphanage yearly budget. This includes school shoes, uniforms, plus the quarterly budget of $3000 for the food needs. These projects will help meet the needs of Shalom children.
For 8 years since our partnership began we see the opportunities grow. This has happened as the Social Workers of the Tanzanian Government intervene in the living conditions of children. Social Workers are also rescuing young girls from “Forced Marriages”. Though these marriages are illegal, they continue happening in impoverished areas.
Now is the time for you to bless these children. Your gift of $40 or more delivers Christmas in one backpack. Yes, we had to increase the amount due to higher costs for everything.

Your gift will provide School Supplies, Clothing, Toys, Hygiene items, Candy and more! The backpacks will go to Tanzania in November. The message these children receive is that you love and care for them. They are loved by God and together we express His love to each one.
