The most wonderful time of the year is upon us once again! Sharing an early Christmas with the children of Shalom Centre Orphanage is an event we treasure together.
Our partnership with Shalom Centre Orphanage began 6 years ago. Since that time they have become a dependable care provider for children in the Arusha area. When the local government officials encounter a child who is in a dire situation, they contact Director Golden Mgonzo for assistance. This year the orphanage has increased to 121 kids. There are 20 young teenage moms with babies.
You can make Christmas for 121 great kids at Shalom Orphanage in Arusha Tanzania! All it takes is $35 for one backpack. African Moons friends will be purchasing all the clothes, school supplies, etc. The backpacks will go into duffle bags and suitcases, each one limited to 50 pounds by the airlines. The airlines charge $200 per bag above the travel allowance of two bags. So we need everyone to help us meet these needs.
