“Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world”! Once again God has used you to bless children in Tanzania! I had fourteen checked items and they all made it to Kilimanjaro Intl Airport; five were wheelchairs for children.
Meeting with Mrs. Yuster Njau at Safe Home for Children with Disabilities was a precious time. I saw children with autism, down syndrome and cerebral palsy. This outreach is changing how the parents view their children. These children are not to be locked in some room and ignored. I often said to the staff, volunteers and parents; these children are special to God. They are loved and we are here to bless them and you.
Hope Alive Church in Oregon is pastored by a lifetime friend, Sharon Boland. The ladies of the church made blankets and hats for the children. It is winter in Tanzania and the children loved the gifts. Thank you Pastor Sharon and ladies! The children and parents thank you!
I also visited the staffs of three Government Schools in the Special Needs area and presented to Mrs. Njau a check for the July expenses of the Home. Thank you for making this trip a complete success. Now get ready for “Christmas in a Backpack” for Shalom Orphanage!
