Go where you feel most alive.” author unknown. For us, that is in Arusha, doing what God has called us to do.

This trip was more than an adventure. We were on the KLM plane, waiting to taxi for takeoff, only to be told to exit the plane due to a mechanical problem. We boarded another KLM plane, flew four hours towards Kilimanjaro. Then the pilot announces the Kilimanjaro Airport is closed due to political unrest. Tanzanian Presidential elections resulted in riots and claims of political corruption. So, four hours back to Amsterdam we went; spent the night and waited to see what would be next.

Next adventure – Thursday afternoon we fly Italian airlines to Rome, fly Ethiopian Airlines to Addis Ababa, then Ethiopian Airlines to Kilimanjaro. We landed at Kilimanjaro and beat the 6:00 evening curfew. It was not what Sally needed. Instead of arriving Wednesday night, we arrived Friday afternoon! But banks and businesses were stilled closed as the government waited for things to calm down.

But we did not wait! Saturday Morning with Backpacks loaded in Regan’s van, we headed to Shalom Centre Orphanage The kids were ecstatic to see us. The moms with their babies were grateful for the clothes and toys for their little ones. The smiles radiated gratefulness.

Northern Bible College graduation was the next celebration. Sixty-one students accepted their diplomas. Some graduates will continue their studies. Others will return to their sponsoring churches as associate pastors, and others will plant churches. Those in blue gowns are focused on Children’s Ministry.

Our next heart-warming stop was at the Safe Home for Children with Disabilities. We visited with the Moms and saw the impact of your giving: wheelchairs, therapy mats, positioning pillows, a wall bar for stretching and motor development. What a difference we are making for these children!

Thank each of you for the love expressed to the people God has called us to bless. Nothing happens without you and God!

Tanzania for Jesus!
